The Iowa Buckskin Horse Association would like to invite you to join us in the upcoming show season. The IaBHA is the official state charter of the International Buckskin Horse Association (www.ibha.net). We are also the parent organization of our state youth association.
Our committees are busy planning a variety of activities for this year, including participation at the Iowa Horse Fair, putting together our Annual Directory, weekend shows, the 18th Annual IBH Congress, and our Year-end awards banquet. This years banquet will be held at the OxYoke Restaurant on I-80.
Our shows consist of (3) two-day weekend shows and a three-day holiday show on Labor Day weekend (IBH Congress). All of our shows will be held at the Iowa Equestrian Center (www.iowaequestrian.com) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Stalls and arena under one roof, climate controlled, camping and shower facilities. Our shows are double judged each day with points awarded under each judge. This allows exhibitors the opportunity of expanded showing with less traveling expense.
We have an active and expanding youth program on both the state and national level. Many of our youth competitors are part of our youth team that the charter sends to the IBHA World Show each year to compete for the national team title.
Our charter also sponsors a queen contest for a junior and senior queen. Our senior queen competes at the IBHA World Show for the national title.
